Guide to The Northeast of Brazil

water in duneIf you are planning to visit the Northeast of Brazil try to give yourself at least 5-7 days otherwise you will spend most of the trip on transfers and believe me, you don’t want to feel rushed while you are there! Here is your full itinerary for a 10 day trip to the Northeast of Brazil visiting Camocim, Jericoacoara, Icaraizinho & Guajiru.  Feel free to visit each destination in the order you like, this trip will take you from the furthest point working your way back to Fortaleza where you fly in.

Getting there: In order to get to Camocim, Jericoacoara, Icaraizinho & Guajiru you must fly in to Fortaleza International Airport or San Luis (but that’s a longer trip!).  Tickets range depending on season.  If you arrive late stay in Fortaleza or one of the neighboring towns like Cumbuco as you will want to make your transfers during the day to get the full experience!  In order to get to these awesome towns you have two options: 1. Rent a 4×4 car, 2. Talk to a company to arrange your transfers for you.  To get the most out of your transfer experience it helps to have someone else navigating around because they know all the cool spots to visit along the way.  I want to give a shout and huge thank you to OZONE Travel who arranged everything for us!! I highly recommend reaching out to them as they are experts on the Northeast of Brazil and will be able to arrange whatever you want as well as answer all of your questions. We had an absolute blast thanks to their help!  Read about the 5 hour Transfer from Cumbuco to Camocim: Here combines beach and road!
